Asthmatics may not realize it but a low functioning immune system may be at the root of their allergies and asthma. Many find that their allergy and asthma symptoms decrease considerably when they take measures to boost and support it. Medical experts indicate that a weak immune system is at the root of many diseases including cancer, lupus, arthritis, psoriasis, chronic fatigue as well as asthma and allergies. Asthmatics who build a stronger immune system will find that it is helpful to their overall health and especially for asthma relief.

People who suffer from a low immune system should avoid known toxins that weaken or destroy it. These would include prescription drugs (as well as asthma and allergy drugs) a high cholesterol diet, fats, food additives, alcohol, tobacco, pesticides, industrial pollutants, heavy metals, high stress, radiation and high sun exposure to name a few.

Decreasing stress, staying positive, relaxing more, exercising regularly, eating a health diet and increasing sleep time will all serve to support your immune system but rebuilding takes time and can't happen overnight. Stress reduction is very important and fortunately deep breathing exercises to reduce stress when done properly are highly effective, can be done anywhere and cost nothing.

Eating a healthy diet as I've briefly outlined here helps to support and build a strong immune system:

1. Eating 6 to 8 ounces of lean protein daily such as beef, chicken or fish.
2. Eat five to seven servings of fresh vegetables and fruits daily.
3. Using olive oil instead of saturated fats, avoiding trans fats, fried foods and food additives.
4. Drink one glass of red wine and two cups of green tea daily.
5. Three to four weekly servings of legumes plus foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids, like salmon or sardines.
6. A daily multivitamin and mineral supplement plus 1000 mg of Vitamin C.

Rebuilding your immune system can take a few months to a couple of years depending on your environment, exposure to toxins and your current level of health and fitness. If your immune system is quite weak and your living or work space is fairly toxic this will require more time than others to heal. As the immune system becomes stronger, asthmatics will notice that their allergy and asthma symptoms become much milder and occur less often.

As I've mentioned earlier, asthma and allergy drugs weaken the immune system so it's preferable to seek an alternative treatment for asthma relief. The Dramatic asthma Relief Report details a safe, effective and natural asthma treatment program to help you breath freely and enjoy better health and fitness without drugs.
